Our place is at unit 110 in the Veena Industrial Estate, right behind the Mongini Bakery. Being off New Link Road in Andheri West makes it easy to find, especially with the smell of fresh bread from the bakery. Electro Medical Apparatus Company has been here for years. The workshop is usually filled with tools, parts, and various pieces of equipment waiting for repair. We don't spend much time worrying about how clean the floor looks; we’re more concerned with getting the machines to work right. It’s a bit of a crowded space, but we have our own way of organizing things. The estate is always busy with people from other units. We’ve made good friends with our neighbors over the years and we often swap tools or advice. There are no corporate boardrooms or long, boring meetings here. We just sit around with a cup of tea and talk about the tasks for the day. Traffic on the New Link Road can be a nightmare, so we often stay a bit later in the evening to let it clear out. It’s a simple, straightforward existence. We aren't interested in being the biggest company in Andheri. We just focus on the technical work and make sure every apparatus is handled with care. Being behind the bakery gives our busy workshop a nice, familiar feel.
