I work out of C-106 in the Panchtantra CHS, right on Yari Road. This place is my base for everything I do. It is a comfortable spot in Versova, and I have lived or worked in this area for quite some time. The room is filled with my personal things, books, and the tools I need for my work. Being in a cooperative housing society means it is mostly families and quiet neighbors around. You can hear the birds in the morning and the distant sound of the sea if it is a quiet day. Yari Road is a great place to be because everything is close by. I spend a lot of hours sitting at my desk near the window. The light there is really good for most of the day. Sometimes the elevator in the building gets stuck, so I end up taking the stairs. It is a bit of a climb but good for the legs. I don't have a big staff or anything, it is just me, Shimona Parmar, handling the daily business. People usually call before they come over. It is not a formal office with a front desk. It is just a space where I can focus and get my tasks finished. Sometimes I take a walk down Yari Road in the evening just to get some fresh air. The apartment is small but it serves its purpose perfectly. It is a simple life and a simple way of working, right here in the heart of Versova. I like the routine of it all.
