Our place is over at Plot No 76 on Road No. 14, right in the MIDC area of Andheri East. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to the police station, which is actually good for a jewellery business. We spend most of our time at the workbenches. It is quiet work mostly, just the sound of small tools and files. We moved here because the location makes sense for getting materials delivered. The traffic on Refrigeration Industries Road can be a headache in the mornings, but we usually get in early to beat it. We aren't doing big TV ads or anything like that. We just make the pieces and handle the orders as they come in. Some of the guys have been with us since we opened the doors here. We have coffee together in the break area when the eyes get tired from looking at small stones. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing. Sometimes we have to rework a piece three times before it looks right, which can be frustrating, but that is just how it goes with gold and stones. The office is small and tucked in the back. We keep our records in big binders and try to stay organized. It's a living, and we enjoy being part of the Andheri community. There is always a bit of metal dust on the floor, but we sweep it up carefully every evening before we lock the doors.
