Swaps Couture

We’re located in Building 2 of the Mittal Industrial Estate, unit 109 B. It’s right on the Andheri Kurla Road in Andheri East. This whole area is always buzzing with trucks and vans moving stuff around. Our place is inside one of those big industrial buildings where everyone is busy doing something different. We do couture work, but it’s not as fancy as it sounds. Mostly it’s just us sitting at desks or tables, sketching out designs or cutting patterns. We have a lot of fabric scraps all over the floor by the end of the day. The building is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't affect our work. We’ve been here for a while and we like being in Andheri East because it’s close to everything we need. Sometimes the lift breaks down and we have to carry rolls of cloth up the stairs, which isn't fun. We don't have a big showroom with models. If you come to see us, you’ll just see a working studio with pins and measuring tapes everywhere. We just focus on making things that look right. We don't talk much about "visions" or anything like that. We just look at the cloth, see what it needs, and get to work. It’s a noisy, busy life here in the estate, but we’re used to the sounds of the road outside.
