Furtex India

Furtex India is based in No. 2 Chunawala Industrial Estate. We are on Kondivita Lane, right across from J. B. Nagar in Andheri East. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not exactly pretty, but it’s where the real work happens. There are lots of trucks and workers moving around all day. Our space is basically a big warehouse with some office desks tucked in the corner. We’ve been here in Andheri for quite some time. The lane can get pretty muddy when it rains, but we just deal with it. We spend a lot of time checking fabrics and managing the inventory. It’s a lot of physical work, moving rolls of cloth and making sure the counts are right. It’s noisy because of the other units in the estate, but you get used to the sound of machines and people shouting. We aren't a big fancy company with a polished lobby. You walk in and you see the work being done right there. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’ve never been to Kondivita Lane before. Most of our day is spent handling logistics. We have a small crew and we all know what we need to do. It’s a practical place for a business like ours. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's tasks. Usually, we wrap things up when the sun goes down and the industrial estate starts to quiet.
