Anand Transport

We are based at D-2 in the Wadala Megha Industrial Estate, specifically in Building No. 114. If you know Wadala, you know it’s the heart of the transport business in this part of the city. There are always trucks coming and going, and the noise of engines is just part of the background music for us. Our office is a small room on the ground floor, which makes it easy to jump out and talk to the drivers when they pull in. It’s not a pretty place—the walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the furniture is pretty worn out from years of hard use. But it’s functional, and that’s what matters in the transport world. We spend our days tracking shipments, talking to customers on the phone, and shouting over the noise of the traffic to get things organized. There’s a lot of paperwork involved, and our desks are always covered in logs and receipts. We don’t use any fancy logistics software; we mostly rely on our notebooks and our memory. It’s a busy, hectic life, but we enjoy the pace of it. Sometimes things go wrong, a truck gets delayed or a tire blows out, and we have to scramble to fix it. We don’t make any big promises, we just try to get the goods from one place to another without too much trouble. It’s a gritty, real-world business, and we’ve been at it for a long time.
