Anand Engineering Corporation

We are located at 7, Laxmi Woollen Mills Compound on Dr. E. Moses Road in Mahalaxmi. It’s an old place and sometimes the walls show it, but it’s where we’ve been doing engineering work for a long time. Most days start early here because the traffic on Moses Road gets pretty bad by nine. Inside the compound, it’s a bit quieter than the main street, which helps when we’re trying to focus on technical drawings or looking over parts. The office isn't anything fancy. We have desks piled with papers and some old filing cabinets that have been here since the start. People know us as Anand Engineering Corporation, but to most of the guys around here, we’re just the shop in the back of the mill. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or standing over the worktables. It’s usually dusty because of the local construction, so we’re always wiping down the equipment. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. Most of the people working here have lived in this area their whole lives. We take our tea breaks around four and usually talk about the local news or how busy the compound is getting lately. It's a simple setup but it works for us and our daily routine.
