Amul Electronics

You can find us on Palanpur Patia Road in Santacruz East. Amul Electronics has been part of this street for a long time. It’s a small storefront, tucked between a few other shops. Most days, we’re just sitting behind the glass counter waiting for the next person to walk in with a broken remote or a radio that won't turn on. The shop is quite narrow, so if there are more than three customers, it starts to feel a bit cramped. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, packed with boxes of different sizes. It's mostly just basic electronic stuff. We don't have those big bright signs like the shops in the malls. Our sign is just a simple board above the door. The traffic on Palanpur Patia Road is usually quite heavy, so there's always a bit of background noise from the horns outside. We usually drink tea around four in the afternoon and talk to the regulars who stop by just to say hello. It's a neighborhood shop, really. We know most of the families living in the nearby blocks. We aren't trying to be anything big. We just provide what's needed for the local houses. If a bulb flickers or a wire snaps, people come here. It’s straightforward work. We like the routine of opening up, sorting through the stock, and talking to the people who live around Santacruz East.
