Amrut- Mani

We sit here at Shop No 2 in the Hararwala Building most days of the week. Bhuleshwar is always a busy place to be, and the Marwadi Chawl nearby has a lot of history that you can feel when you walk through the streets. People are constantly moving by Loyalty Estate, and the noise of the city is just something we have lived with for a long time. It is just a small spot where we handle our daily business. It gets a bit dusty because the road is right there, but that is just how things are in this part of town. We try to keep our things organized on the shelves, though it is not a fancy office or anything like that. We just have some basic desks and chairs. Our neighbors are quite nice, and we have known the people around this block for many years. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a little while, but we just manage and wait for it to come back. My family has been around here for a long time, and now I am the one here most of the time. It gets really loud during the festival times because of the big processions that go past the building. You can hear the bells and the shouting from right inside the shop. We keep the shutters half-down when it rains hard so the water does not splash inside. It is really just a simple setup for us.
