You can find Amratlal Chhaganlal & Co. down on Kherani Road in Sakinaka. We are located inside the P.V. Kurlawala Compound, which is a busy industrial area in Andheri East. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the maze of compounds around here. Our workspace is pretty basic. It is a lot of concrete and metal, and it can get quite hot in the afternoons. We have been in this spot for many years now. There is no air conditioning in the main area, just some old fans that hum all day long. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decor. We just have what we need to get the work done. The team is small, and we’ve all known each other for a long time. There is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. It’s a noisy part of town with all the other workshops nearby, but we are used to it. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just take orders and make sure they get where they are going. Some days the rain makes the compound a bit of a mess with all the mud, but we just put on our boots and keep moving. It is just a regular, hardworking business in a hardworking part of Mumbai.
