Ampact

Ampact is located in Shop Number 5 inside Diamond House, which is on Road Number 35 in Khar. Khar is a busy area, as anyone who lives in Mumbai knows. There is always a lot of movement outside, with people rushing to work or heading to the station. Being in Diamond House means we are surrounded by other businesses, but our little shop is where we handle everything. It’s a small room, really. We have a couple of desks and some storage cabinets for all the stuff we deal with. The air conditioner is usually running because it gets so humid here. I spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by the shop. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We have stacks of papers and ledgers that need filling out. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a quick break, but mostly we are just busy with the day's tasks. The street outside is always noisy, but you get used to the sound of horns and people talking. It’s just part of being in Khar. We’ve been here for a while, and the address is easy enough for people to find once they get to Road 35. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up Shop 5 every day and get to work on whatever needs doing. It’s a living, and we just keep it simple.
