We run our little place out of Shop No 20 and 21 in Building No 6 over in Kandivali East. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to some of the busier markets, but we stay busy with the local crowd. Having two shops next to each other gives us a bit more room, though it still feels crowded with all the stock we keep. We didn't bother making the place look like a designer boutique. It’s got plain tile floors and shelves that we put up ourselves when we moved in. Most of our day is spent helping people find what they need or checking the inventory in the back. Kandivali East is a good neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know the families who live in the buildings around us. We don't have a big team or anyone in a suit. It’s just us wearing whatever is comfortable and keeping the fans running to beat the heat. Sometimes the delivery guys show up all at once and the sidewalk gets blocked, but the neighbors are patient. We usually have a radio playing in the background, mostly just for some noise while we work. We don't do anything too complicated; we just open the doors early and stay until the evening rush is over. It’s a basic shop, but it’s ours, and we’re happy to be part of the community here in Building 6. We keep some extra chairs for when people just want to sit.
