Amkay Products

Andheri East is where we spend most of our time, specifically in Labella Society. It’s right opposite Laxmi Villas Bank on the second floor. Amkay Products is basically a few of us working together to manage the stock and get things out. The building is older, but it works for us. We handle a lot of different items and the boxes sometimes pile up near the door. It’s a bit of a maze in this part of town with all the one-way streets and traffic. Most days are spent checking inventory or talking to suppliers. We aren't a big corporation, just a local spot where people come when they need specific products. The tea stall downstairs is where we usually end up talking about the day's work. It’s noisy outside with the cars and the bank customers, but inside we just focus on what’s on the desk. People often get lost looking for B/15, so we tell them to look for the bank first. It’s easier that way. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s just desks and shelves and people doing their jobs. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and we know the neighbors well. It’s a steady rhythm of packing, labeling, and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the week. We try to keep things simple here. Sometimes the courier is late, but we just wait and get on with the next thing.
