Our office is situated in Vile Parle East, right in the Gandhi Peth area. If you know where Mahila Sangh is, we are just near there at number 3. It's a nice part of town, feels a bit more like a neighborhood than a big business district. Amita started this practice to help folks nearby with their taxes and all the complicated money stuff that nobody likes doing themselves. It is mostly just a few of us here, and we keep things pretty simple. The desks are usually covered in folders, and the tea gets cold because we get caught up in some spreadsheet or another. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby with shiny chairs. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years, so it feels more like catching up with old friends than a formal meeting. We spend a lot of time explaining things in plain English because the official forms are way too confusing. It is a quiet place for the most part, except during the busy season when the phone doesn't stop. We like being in Vile Parle because it’s easy to get to and the local shops are great for a quick lunch break. It's just a regular local business trying to be helpful to the people who live and work around here.
