Ami Jesal

Ami Jesal is located right in Earth Castle Mall. If you come through the ground floor at Sikkanagar, we are at shop number 11. Being in a mall is different than being on a regular street because you don't have to worry about the rain as much, but it has its own set of rules. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The space isn’t huge, but we make it work for what we need to show people. Mostly, it is just about keeping things organized on the racks and making sure everything looks decent when someone walks in. V. P. Road is usually pretty packed, so once you get inside the mall, it feels a bit calmer. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who stop by or rearranging the stock for the tenth time that week. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting some days, and then other days everyone comes in at once. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The mall staff are friendly enough, and we usually know who is coming and going. It’s a steady kind of life. We like the neighborhood around Sikkanagar because it has everything you need within walking distance. We just focus on keeping the shop running and making sure the lights stay on. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. It's just the way things go in a place like this.
