We are based in Room No 101 of the Barc Labour Colony. It’s in the New Mandala Village area, right by the Sion Trombay Road in Mumbai. The pincode is 400088. Ameya Engineering Consultech Pvt Ltd is what’s written on our registration. It’s a busy, cramped part of the city, but it’s where we are. Being near the BARC colony means there’s a lot of security and people moving around. Our office is small. It’s basically one main room where we all sit. We do engineering consulting, so there are blueprints and technical drawings everywhere. The table in the middle is usually covered in site maps and coffee mugs. Mumbai is fast, and we try to keep up, but sometimes the traffic makes us late for everything. We don't have a lobby or a fancy coffee machine. We just go to the local tapri for tea. It’s a very basic setup. We’ve been here for a long time, and the walls are covered with old calendars and maps. It feels very functional. We don't do a lot of advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth. We just focus on the drawings and the numbers. Sometimes we work late because the projects have tight deadlines. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s our workspace and we’re used to it. The monsoons can be a bit tricky with the roof leaks, but we put out buckets and keep working.
