Alpha Plastic

Our workshop is located at 330 Diamond Industrial Estate in Dahisar. We are right near the Ram Lakhan Yadav Chawl and the Dahisar Toll Naka, so there is never a moment of silence. You can hear the trucks braking and the horns blowing all day long. At Alpha Plastic, we deal with the reality of manufacturing. It’s hot, it’s noisy, and your hands are always a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We have these big injection molding machines that take up most of the floor space. They’ve been here since we started, and they have their own personalities—you have to know exactly how to kick them to make them run smooth. Our team is a mix of young guys learning the trade and older men who have been working with plastic since the eighties. We don’t have a fancy breakroom, just a few stools near the back door where we can catch a bit of a breeze. We make all sorts of plastic parts that people probably don’t even think twice about. It’s honest work. We don’t spend time on marketing or making things look pretty for a catalog. We just focus on the measurements and making sure the mold is clean. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in dust, trying to fix a leak or packing up a fresh order for a local client. That’s just life at the estate.
