You will find Alpha Engg Tradind Corp up on the 7th floor of Gorden Apartment. It is right in the middle of Nagpada, which is a very crowded and noisy part of Mumbai. Joyab A. Rajpurwala's place is where everything happens. Getting up to the 7th floor can be a bit of a wait if the lift is being used for deliveries. The apartment is filled with files, samples, and various trading items we deal with daily. It is not your typical corporate environment at all. It feels more like a lived-in space where work happens to be the main focus. We have a view of the rooftops from the windows, which is about the only quiet thing around here. The streets below are always full of people, honking cars, and street food stalls. Inside, we are usually busy with phone calls or checking inventory lists. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when new stock arrives, and we have to move furniture around to make space. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It is just a regular door that opens into our world of trading. Most of our day is spent coordinating with people across the city. It is a lot of back-and-forth, but we are used to the pace of Nagpada life by now. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds of the neighborhood just fade into the background while we work, and the 400008 area has become our home.
