The workshop is located over at Mumbai Central near the Ho on NS Road, specifically at 1-G. It is usually pretty loud here because of the machines and the metal clanging around throughout the day. We deal with auto parts and spares, so there is always a bit of oil or grease on the floors and our hands. It isn’t the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We have been making these parts for a long time, and the shelves are stacked high with all sorts of metal components that go into cars and trucks. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow spots nearby, but we get the crates moved eventually. It’s a practical space. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big signs. Most of our time goes into checking the measurements on the lathe or making sure a batch of bolts is right. The air smells like machine oil and cold metal, which is something you just get used to after a week. It’s a lot of physical work, moving heavy items and keeping the production going. We have a small crew that has been around for years, so we all know the routine without having to talk much. The building is old but it stays cool enough even when the sun is hitting the roof hard. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders for the day.
