Alive Hair And Beauty is inside the Hayyat Regency Hotel in Andheri East. Since we are so close to the airport, we see a lot of people who are just passing through Mumbai for a day or two. They might have a big meeting or a flight to catch and realize they need to look a bit sharper. It’s a different vibe than a street shop. We get people from all over the country and even from abroad. The hotel is big, so sometimes it takes people a minute to find us tucked away. We handle a lot of quick trims and blow-dries for people staying upstairs. It’s a bit more quiet here than out on the main Andheri roads, which is a nice change of pace. We have been in this spot for a while now. The staff knows how to work fast because our customers are often in a big hurry to catch a plane. Even though it’s in a hotel, it’s still just a regular salon where we do our best with whatever the customer wants. We see a lot of business suits and also families who are on vacation. We don't have much of a window to look out of, so we rely on the hotel guests and people who live nearby. It’s a practical location for anyone stuck in that airport traffic who needs a break. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever hair comes through.
