Alfa Intermediates

Masjid Bunder is a place where you really have to know your way around or you’ll get lost in the narrow lanes. Our office, Alfa Intermediates, is tucked away on the second floor of office number four. It isn’t much to look at, just some desks and a lot of folders filled with supply notes. We deal with chemical intermediates and have been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is old and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up again, which happens more often than we’d like. Downstairs the street is always loud with handcarts and people shouting, but up here it’s a little bit quieter. We spend most of our day on the phone or checking lists of what needs to go out to which factory. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound more important than it is. We just make sure the orders are right and the people we buy from are doing their part. Sometimes the heat gets bad in the afternoons but we just keep the fans going and drink plenty of tea from the stall at the corner. Most of our neighbors in the building have been here as long as us so we all know each other’s names. We don’t have a fancy website or big signs outside, just the name on the door and a lot of experience in the trade. We have stayed here because it feels like home.
