Alankar Jewelers

Alankar Jewelers is situated at No. 211/ 213 Raja Bhawan, which is right above the Central Bank on Kalbadevi Road. We are on the 3rd floor of the building. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Kalbadevi gets with all the carts and the people moving everywhere. Our shop is in one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of history. Being above the bank makes it easy for people to find the building, at least. We have been here for a good number of years now. The office is pretty basic, with some wooden cabinets and a few old desks where we sit. It gets a bit humid in the afternoons, so the windows are usually open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. We deal with all sorts of jewelry and it is mostly just us and a few regular people who have been coming to us for a long time. There is no fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and we are there. Sometimes the hallway is a bit cluttered with boxes from the other offices, but that is just how it is in Raja Bhawan. We keep our heads down and focus on the jewelry. It is a steady job and we like being in this part of the city, even with all the noise from the traffic downstairs.
