Alama Designs

Alama Designs is based out of 5/B Shabnam, which is right behind the Crossword near Sion Circle. It’s actually a pretty convenient spot because everyone knows where the bookstore is, so we don't have to give long directions. The building is an older one, so it has that lived-in feel with narrow hallways. Inside, we have a lot of fabric samples and sketches laying around on every surface. Since we do design work, things can look a little messy to an outsider, but we generally know where everything is. Sion Circle is always noisy with the traffic and the constant honking, but once you step inside Shabnam, it gets a little quieter. I’ve been working here for a while, and I like that we’re so close to all the local snack shops. We don't have a big sign outside or any bright lights. Usually, people just find the building and then look for our unit number. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to cleaning up the workspace after a long day. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule with HR rules and all that. If there’s work to finish, we stay late. If it’s a slow day, we might leave a bit early to beat the traffic. It feels more like a workshop than a formal office. We just focus on our designs and try to make things that look decent.
