Akshar Telecom

Akshar Telecom is run out of B/206 in the Parekh Apartments. We are right on Sarojini Road in Vile Parle West. Since we are in an apartment building, it feels a lot more like a home than a regular shop or office. We have been here for a good while, and most of the neighbors know us. We handle a lot of mobile phone repairs and telecom services. People from the surrounding buildings usually just walk in when they have a problem with their phone or need a new connection. It is a small space, so it can get pretty crowded if more than three people show up at once. We have our workbenches set up with all the tiny tools and magnifying glasses we need. It’s a lot of delicate work, and it can be a bit tiring on the eyes. The sound of the trains isn't too far away, so there is always that hum of the city in the background. We don't have a big sign outside, just our name on the directory. We like it this way because it keeps things personal. We get to know our customers by name. It’s not a big corporate operation. It’s just us fixing phones and helping people stay in touch with their families. We keep things simple and try to get the repairs done as fast as we can.
