Akash Transports

Akash Transports operates out of Goregaon West, specifically at 314 on the ground floor in the Deonar area. Being on the ground floor makes it easier when drivers come in to drop off logs or pick up their schedules. It’s a practical space without much in the way of decoration. We have some chairs for visitors and a couple of old desks where we manage the daily routes. The area can get pretty dusty with all the trucks moving in and out, but that is just part of the job. We spent a lot of time figuring out the best shortcuts through the city to avoid the worst of the jams. It doesn't always work, but we try. The office is usually humming with the sound of the ceiling fan and someone on the radio. We deal with all sorts of transport needs for people in the neighborhood and further out. My cousin helps with the bookings, and we have a few regulars who have been using us for years. We don’t use any fancy tracking software; mostly just notebooks and a big wall calendar to keep track of who is where. If you come by, you might find us drinking tea and arguing about the latest cricket match. It is a local business through and through. We know the people around here and they know us. We just try to get the trucks from point A to point B without too much trouble.
