Akansh Beuaty Parlour

So, we are over here in Chembur. It’s a local beauty parlour where women from the neighborhood come to get their hair done or maybe some threading. It’s not one of those high-end places you see in the big malls. We like keeping it simple and comfortable for everyone who walks in. The shop is small, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need to do a good job. Most of our regulars live just a few streets away, so it’s always nice to see familiar faces. We talk about the day, the weather, or whatever else is going on in Chembur while we work. It gets a bit crowded during the wedding season, of course. Everyone wants to get their henna done or their hair styled at the same time. We just do our best to keep up. The mirrors are old but they work fine. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know what we’re doing. It’s a quiet life mostly, besides the occasional chatty customer. We don't spend money on fancy ads. People just hear about us from their friends or family. We’ve been here in this part of Chembur for quite some time now. If you’re around and need a quick trim or something, you can usually just drop in. We don’t make a big deal out of things. It’s just a regular local parlour for the local ladies who want to look a bit tidy.
