You can find Akal Transport Co over in Chembur East. We are situated in the MS Building along Godadara Road. This part of Chembur is always moving, especially with all the transport activity that goes on. Our space in the MS Building is where we handle all the day-to-day tasks like talking to clients and checking on the trucks. It's a straightforward setup with a lot of logs and registers piled up on the shelves. Godadara Road is a key route, so we see plenty of action and traffic right outside the door. We aren't a big corporation with fancy lobbies or security guards. It’s just a working office where we keep track of the fleet and the deliveries. The building is an older one, but it serves us well enough for what we need. Most of the people around here know us by name because we’ve been around Godadara Road for quite a while now. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the drivers who stop by between their long trips. It's a lot of manual work, writing things down in books and making sure the timing is right for everyone. Chembur East has a specific feel to it, a bit industrial and very busy all the time. We fit right in there. The office usually smells like old paper and sometimes the exhaust from the road when the windows are open. We don't mind it much. It’s just how things are here. We keep the doors open mostly to let some fresh air in. It’s a simple life running a transport business.
