The shop is over in Mulund West, right in Riddhi Siddhi Vinay at Shop No 5. It’s usually pretty busy around here. We deal with auto parts at Agasti Auto Parts Auto Consultants and also give people advice on cars when they’re looking to buy or sell. It’s not a shiny showroom. There’s grease on the counters and boxes stacked up to the ceiling in the back room. I’ve spent years learning which part fits which model, and even then, sometimes a manufacturer changes something and we have to hunt for the right piece. People come in stressed because their car broke down on the way to work. I try to find what they need so they can get back on the road. Being an auto consultant means I spend a lot of time talking. People want to know if a second-hand car is worth the money or if they’re getting cheated by a mechanic. I just tell them what I see. If the engine sounds rough, I say so. We’ve been in this part of Mulund for a long time. The floor is a bit dusty and the fan makes a clicking sound, but it’s home. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phone and looking through catalogs for spark plugs or brake pads. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes every single day.
