Our office is in the Panchratna building at Opera House. Anyone in the diamond or jewellery trade knows this building. We are up on the fourth floor, room 407. It’s a very busy place with people running around the corridors all the time. We do jewellery here. It’s mostly sitting at desks and looking at designs or the actual pieces. The lighting in the office is bright because we need to see the details clearly. It’s a small space, common for this area. We have been here for a bit now. You get used to the rhythm of Opera House, the security at the gate, and the crowded elevators. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot of work to finish. We don't do big advertisements. Most people who come to see us already know the address. It’s a practical setup. We have a safe, some chairs for visitors, and our workstations. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We check the pieces, talk to the craftsmen, and manage the orders. It’s not glamorous inside the office, just a lot of hard work. We keep water for guests and try to keep the desk tidy, though it doesn't always stay that way. It’s a real business in the heart of Mumbai’s jewelry district. We might not have the biggest office in Panchratna, but we make the most of the space we have. The air conditioning is always humming in the background while we work. We don't spend money on fancy brochures because we don't need them. Our focus is just on the jewelry pieces we handle every day.
