Aditya Hair Cutting Saloon

If you’re around Dahiwali in Karjat, you’ve probably seen the Aditya Hair Cutting Saloon. We are in the Aditya Building on Dahiwali Road. It’s a local barbershop where men from the neighborhood come to get a haircut or a shave. We have the usual chairs, mirrors, and a TV that’s usually playing some news or a movie. It’s a place where people talk about their day while we work. I started this shop because I like the craft and I like talking to people. We do simple cuts, nothing too over the top, just what people ask for. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly on a Saturday morning. We use shears, clippers, and traditional razors for shaves. It’s a steady pace throughout the day. Raigad gets quite hot, so the fans are always spinning inside. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop on the road. People know us because we’ve been here for years. Sometimes kids come in for their first haircut and they’re a bit scared, so we have to be patient. It’s a regular part of life here. We keep the scissors sharp and the towels clean. You can usually find a few people waiting on the bench, scrolling through their phones or chatting. It’s a comfortable, normal place for a haircut. We just focus on doing a decent job so people come back next month. That is our routine every day.
