Aditya College Of Design Studies

Our college is tucked away in Borivali West on R M Bhattad Road. It’s right near Kalpana Chawla Chowk, which is always a busy spot in Mumbai. The building is part of the larger Aditya Educational Campus. Since we are in the 400092 area, the streets are always bustling with people and traffic right outside our doors. Inside, it’s a bit of a different world. We have rooms set up for all kinds of design work. There are big tables for drawing and some computers for the digital stuff, though some of the chairs have become a bit squeaky over the years. We don't have a big corporate office feel here at all. It’s more about the students sitting around in groups working on their various projects. The staff is usually busy with the paperwork for admissions or trying to get the Wi-Fi to work again when it goes down. We get a lot of students traveling from all across Mumbai, so the canteen area gets pretty packed around noon. It’s not a perfect place, the elevators can be a bit slow during the morning rush and sometimes the corridors are filled with half-finished models or sketches. But it’s where we show up to work every day. We don't do much fancy talk about what we do here. It’s just a place to learn how to design things. We keep the doors open and try to stay as organized as we can among all the creative mess that comes with being a school in a crowded city.
