ADDYS FASHION CREATIONS

ADDYS FASHION CREATIONS is tucked away in Chembur at a place called Rendezvous. We are in unit 502, on the 5th floor of Plot 464 along 14th Road. Mumbai is always moving, but up here in the office, things feel a little more focused. You can see the tops of the trees and some of the other buildings from our windows. The space is usually cluttered with patterns, rolls of cloth, and half-finished garments draped over chairs. We do a lot of the design work right here on large wooden tables. It isn’t a corporate showroom; it’s more like a workshop where we actually make things. The hum of the sewing machines is the background noise of our day. We spend a lot of time arguing over thread colors or how a certain sleeve should hang. 14th Road is a decent spot, though finding parking can be a headache for anyone coming to visit. We’ve been in this building for a while, and the neighbors know us by the sound of the iron steamer. Every day is a bit different depending on what we are working on. Sometimes we stay late when a project is nearly done. It’s just a group of us trying to turn ideas into actual clothes. There’s always coffee on the desk and a bit of dust from the fabric everywhere. It isn't always pretty, but it is where the work gets done.
