Addys Fashion Creations

We have been here at Plot No 56 in Subhash Nagar for quite a while now. Most people know us as Addys Fashion Creations. It is a small place tucked away in Chembur, near the 14th street area. The shop is usually full of fabrics and half-finished clothes scattered around the tables. Some days it gets pretty loud with the machines running all at once. We spend a lot of time measuring things and trying to get the stitch right. It’s not a fancy studio or anything like that. Just a workroom where we get things done. Sometimes customers come in with pictures on their phones and we see what we can do. It is mostly just a few of us working through the day. The light in here isn't always the best in the afternoons but we make it work. Subhash Nagar is a busy spot so there is always noise from the street coming through the door. We keep the patterns in big folders that are a bit disorganized if I am being honest. It is a lot of cutting and pinning. We have been in this same spot since we started. Most neighbors just drop by to chat while we are working on a hem or a sleeve. We just like making things that people actually want to wear around here. It is steady work and keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down and we finally lock up for the night.
