Addon Retail

Over here at 131 Tilak Road in Mulund, things are usually moving pretty fast. I opened Addon Retail because I wanted to stay close to home and this spot was available. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the shelves and a small counter where I keep the ledger. Sometimes the ledger gets coffee stains on it because I’m a bit clumsy in the mornings. I spend my time stocking whatever people seem to be asking for that week. Mulund is a busy place and Tilak Road is always noisy with the rickshaws and people rushing to the station. I’ve got a couple of old fans that rattle when they’re on high, but they do the job. My neighbors at the other shops are good people, we often share some snacks in the late afternoon when things slow down a bit. I don't really have a big strategy or anything, I just try to make sure I have what people need when they walk in. If someone asks for something I don’t have, I usually write it down on a scrap of paper and try to find it for next time. The shop gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work somehow. It’s just a normal retail spot, nothing like those big malls you see further out. It’s just me and the goods.
