Aarti Chairs

Aarti Chairs is located on the ground floor of Jai Bhavani Sadan. If you know G.K. Marg, we are right there where the road gets a bit narrow. The shop is filled mostly with chairs, as you might guess from the name. We have stools, office chairs, and the plastic ones people use for weddings and events. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting through the aisles sometimes because we try to fit as much as we can into the space. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some old fans that keep the air moving during the summer. We’ve been in this building for many years. The neighbors know us well, and we often chat with the tea seller next door. Working with chairs means a lot of lifting and stacking. My back usually aches by the end of the day, but that’s part of the job. We don’t have a marketing team or any of that. We just put a few chairs out front so people can see what we have. Most customers are local folks looking for something for their home or a small office. We spend a lot of time tightening screws and checking the wheels on the swivel chairs. It’s honest work. Sometimes we get a big order that takes up the whole floor, and we have to step over boxes just to get to the desk. It’s just a regular local shop where we do things the old way.
