Aakruti Beauty Parlour

I run Aakruti Beauty Parlour right on Matunga Main Road at number 472. It’s a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic outside, but inside we try to keep things a bit more relaxed. I’ve had this shop for several years now. We do all the standard things like facials, hair cutting, and henna. The space is narrow, like many shops in Matunga, but we’ve organized the mirrors and chairs to make it work. Most of my customers are women from the nearby flats who have been coming to me since I opened. We talk about the neighborhood and family while I work on their hair. I don’t have a website or any fancy booking system; people usually just walk in or give me a quick call. Sometimes I’m on my own, and other times I have a girl helping me out during the wedding season when it gets really packed. The lighting inside is warm, and I try to keep the place looking decent even though the building is a bit old. Being on the main road is good for business, but parking is always a headache for everyone. I usually have tea delivered from the stall nearby in the afternoons. It’s just a regular local parlour where we do our best to get the job done and keep the regulars happy.
