Aakaar Engineers

Finding us at Aakaar Engineers can be a bit of a trick if you don't know the Malad area well. We are in the Malad Industrial Units Co-Op Society, specifically unit C-10-G on Ramchandra Extension Lane. It’s a busy spot in Kachpada with lots of small businesses packed together. The air always smells a bit like cooling oil and metal. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or handling the machinery. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but we have some old fans that help a bit. Most of our work involves custom engineering tasks that people bring us. We look at the drawings, figure out the best way to cut or shape the metal, and then just get on with it. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here. If something needs doing, whoever is free just grabs a tool and helps out. Our desks are covered in blueprints and half-finished projects. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the noise of the neighboring units, but you get used to it after a week or two. We’ve been in this Malad West location for a while now and we know all the quirks of the building, like which light switches are finicky and where the floor is a bit uneven. It’s our second home, really, and we spend more time here than anywhere else. It’s just how the job goes.
