We’re located in unit Bb-207 of the Kanakia Boomerang building on Chandivali Farm Road. Being in Andheri East means it’s always busy around here. The building itself is quite large and shaped like a boomerang, which is where it gets the name. Aak Kamani Pvt Ltd. is just one of the many offices inside. It’s a bit different from the dusty industrial estates we used to be in. We have a proper desk setup and the air conditioning actually works most of the time. The elevators can be a bit of a wait during the lunch hour because so many people work in this complex. We handle a lot of the administrative and management side of the business from this spot. It’s mostly computers, phones, and a lot of meetings. We try to keep things organized, but files still pile up on the corners of our desks. Outside, the traffic on Chandivali Farm Road is almost always backed up. We can see the street from some of the windows. It’s a fast-paced environment. We’ve been here for a while now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the city. We grab coffee from the little stalls nearby or eat at the canteen. It’s a professional enough space, but we still keep it informal between ourselves. There’s no need for too much formality when you’ve worked together for this long. We just get on with it and keep the paperwork moving daily.
