A To Z Variety

Our shop, A To Z Variety, is at numbers 7 and 8 right near the ticket window on Station Road in Wadala. Being so close to the station means there’s never a dull moment. There is a constant stream of people rushing to catch trains or heading home after work. We see thousands of faces every day. The shop is packed with all sorts of things, which is why we named it what we did. We try to keep everything organized, but with so many different items, it can be a challenge. Sometimes a box might be sitting in the aisle for a bit while we find a place for it. We don't have any fancy displays or professional lighting. We just use what we have. Most of the people who work here have been around Wadala for a long time. We know the regulars who stop in for a quick item on their way to the platform. It’s a fast-paced environment, and we’ve learned to be quick on our feet. We aren't trying to be a luxury boutique. We’re a variety store for regular people. We stay open late because that’s when a lot of folks need us most. It’s noisy and dusty from the trains, but it’s our home. We don't have a grand philosophy. We just sell stuff people need and try to be helpful when they ask where something is. It's a hectic job but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if it were quiet.
