Our office is tucked away in Mazgaon at Plot 58, which everyone around here calls Anchor House. It’s located on 1St Darukhana Cross Street, a part of town that has its own particular rhythm. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know how the narrow streets can get. We’ve been at A S Moloobhoy Pvt. Ltd. for quite some time, and the building itself has seen a lot of years. There’s no elevator, so we’re always going up and down the stairs, which keeps us fit I suppose. The air around here often carries a bit of a salty tang because of the proximity to the docks. We spend our hours talking to suppliers, checking our logs, and making sure the paperwork for the business stays in order. It’s a lot of manual work and coordination. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and see one of us at a desk covered in papers. The neighborhood is full of small workshops and people hauling things, so it’s never really quiet. We take our breaks when we can find a moment. Sometimes we sit by the window and watch the traffic jam on the street below. It’s a plain way of working, but it suits us just fine. We know our neighbors, and they know us. We just keep doing what we do, day after day, without making much of a fuss. It is a simple life here in Mazgaon.
