A & S Engineering

We set up A & S Engineering at Plot No-F-9 in the MIDC area of Ambad. It’s right near the Samarth Co-Operative Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are visiting. Being in an industrial zone like this means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. There is always a lot of activity on the road, with trucks and tempos coming and going. Our shop is pretty standard for this area. We have our machines lined up on one side and a small corner for the office work. It’s usually dusty because of the construction nearby, but we try to keep the equipment clean. We don't really have a big sign out front, just the plot number mostly. The day starts early here, usually before the sun gets too hot for the workers. We spend a lot of time measuring and checking things. It’s a lot of manual labor and making sure the dimensions are right for the parts. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches. People just come in with a problem or a drawing and we see if we can do it. Sometimes we’re too busy and have to tell people to wait, but that’s just how it goes in a small shop. We like being in Ambad because everything we need is close by. If we need a specific bolt or a piece of steel, there’s usually someone a few plots over.
