A A Contractor & Company operates out of the Central Tin Building in Byculla. Our office is at 411/412 on Susse, which is right on the main road. It is a busy area and there is always a lot of dust from the traffic. We have been doing contracting work for a while now. The office is usually filled with rolls of drawings and old files. It is not the most modern place, but we spend most of our time out at work sites anyway. Byculla Main Road is a landmark everyone knows. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some days are very long, starting before the sun is up to get crews moved to different locations. We don't really have a big staff, just a few people we trust. Handling contracts is mostly about managing people and making sure materials show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes things go wrong, like a truck getting stuck in traffic or a supplier running late. We just deal with it. Our desks are covered in notebooks and pens. We don't bother with fancy presentations. If someone needs a job done, they come up to the fourth floor and we talk about it. It is straightforward work and we like being right here in the heart of Byculla. It's just how we live and work together as a small team.
