A 1 Mobile

Down on Kudalwadi Road at 300 A/11, that’s where you’ll find A 1 Mobile. Vikhroli West is a busy area, and our little shop is right in the middle of it all. We don’t have a massive storefront or big windows. It’s just a simple door and some glass cases full of phones and accessories. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t need to look at the map to tell you where anything is in this neighborhood. Most of our day is spent helping people set up their new phones or fixing a screen that someone’s kid cracked by accident. We don’t use a lot of big words or technical talk. If a phone is old and slow, we tell you it’s better to just get a new one than waste money fixing it again. We keep a stash of old parts in the back just in case someone brings in a really old model that they can't let go of. It’s a bit of a mess back there, to be honest. But we get things done eventually. We usually have a radio playing in the background, mostly old songs that everyone knows the words to. It makes the long day go by faster. We aren't trying to be the biggest mobile shop in Mumbai. We just want to be the place where people feel okay coming in even if they don't know much about technology. It's just us, some phones, and a lot of tea throughout the day.
