A 1 Hair Dresser

It is just a small place here in Chembur 2. We have the usual chairs and mirrors that have seen better days but they work fine. Most of the people who come in live right around the corner. They stop by when they have a bit of time to spare or on their way home from work. It is usually pretty quiet in the afternoons when the sun is out, then it picks up in the evening. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name A 1 Hair Dresser on the door. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast so we are always sweeping. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise but it keeps the air moving. Chembur is a busy area but this little spot feels a bit different. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. Some guys have been coming here since they were kids. We just do the regular cuts, nothing too fancy. It is a simple routine, opening the shop, cleaning the combs, and waiting for the next person to sit down. We usually have the radio on or just talk about what is happening in the news. It is just a regular local shop where you can get your hair done without a lot of fuss. We try to keep things tidy but it’s a working shop so it’s never perfect. It’s been this way for years and we don’t plan on changing much.
