9 Star Roadlines

Our place is on 90 Feet Road in Nath Pai Nagar, Ghatkopar East. We are near the Chikanayakanahalli Village area and close to Vidya Bhavan School. Being 9 Star Roadlines, we deal with trucks and moving goods. The 90 Feet Road is always full of traffic, so there is never a quiet moment. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers or checking where the loads are. The office is a bit rough around the edges, with maps on the walls and calendars marked up with dates. We have a lot of tea while we wait for news about deliveries. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun hitting the road outside. We’ve been in this part of Ghatkopar for a while. The school nearby means there are kids everywhere in the morning and afternoon, so we have to be careful when the big trucks are moving around. It’s a practical business. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception area. It’s just a place where we manage the logistics of moving stuff from one point to another. The village feel of Chikanayakanahalli is still there even though the city has grown around it. We just keep our trucks moving and try to stay on schedule. It’s hard work and the days are long, but that’s just how the transport business goes. Most people around here know us. We just do the work and go home.
