Soloman International

Our office is at 123 Lajpat Nagar. If you know the area, you know it’s a mix of homes and shops, and it’s always crowded with shoppers and cars. We are in one of the older buildings where the wiring is a bit messy and the windows don't always close all the way. Soloman International is the name on our letterhead, but the actual work is much less fancy than it sounds. We spend most of our time coordinating between different people and making sure things get from point A to point B. It’s a lot of logistics and talking. The office is usually filled with the sound of three or four people talking at once. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, but the kettle is a bit temperamental. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just handle the day-to-day tasks of an international business from a small room in the middle of Delhi. On weekends, the market outside gets so loud we can barely hear ourselves think, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep a calendar on the wall with all the deadlines, and we try our best to stay on top of them. It’s just us working hard in a small space, trying to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible despite the occasional chaos and noise of the city.
