Brasschain

Our little place is tucked into Lane No. 1 in Hayat Nagar, just off the main Peerzada Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and the noise from the street usually drifts right through our front door. Brasschain isn't some fancy office with glass walls or soft carpets. It is more of a practical workspace where we spend our days dealing with metal and trying to keep everything organized. The walls have some scuffs from moving crates around, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on the highest setting. Most of the people around here have known us for years. We usually start the day early, around eight, when the tea stall at the corner opens up. Peerzada Road gets really jammed with traffic by midday, so we try to get most of our heavy loading done before the trucks can’t get through the lane anymore. It can get pretty hot in the summer, especially with the machines running, but we have a small cooler that helps a little. The floor is concrete and stays cool underfoot, which is nice. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just the name near the entrance. Most people who come to see us are looking for something specific and they know exactly where to find us in the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. It’s been this way for a long time and we’re used to the rhythm of the place now.
