About Jattan Da Bhatha – Food & Beverages in Mohali
If you come up to the top floor of Flat No. 2611 here in Sector 69, you’ll find us mostly stuck behind the desk. Jattan Da Bhatha has been running out of this spot for a while now, even though it’s just a flat and not the actual kiln site. The wind gets pretty strong up on this floor, and you can see a good part of the sector from the balcony. We spend most of the morning answering the phone and trying to keep the ledger books straight. There is a lot of back and forth with the drivers and the guys out at the site. It’s not the quietest office because the fan has this rattle we can't seem to fix, and someone is always dropping by for tea and a chat about the latest batch. We don’t have any shiny signs or anything, just a door and some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their receipts. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people show up at once. Sometimes the lift works, sometimes it doesn’t, so we get a bit of a workout. We just handle the day-to-day stuff here, making sure the orders go where they are supposed to go. It’s a simple routine that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the buildings nearby. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the neighborhood and the way the light hits the floor.
