Guru Polymers is one of the many units located in the Dediyasan Industrial Estate, specifically at Plot No 64. If you spend time in Dediyasan, you know it is a place where things are made. We focus on polymers here. The air often smells like heated plastic and the machines have a constant rhythmic thud that you get used to after a few days. Plot No 64 isn't a showpiece; it’s a working factory floor. We have bags of raw materials stacked up near the entrance and finished products ready to go out near the back. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a fancy reception area or a person in a suit greeting you at the door. Usually, you’ll find one of us near the machines or checking the loading bay. The industrial estate is always full of trucks and people moving crates around. We have a small crew that knows how to handle the polymer processes. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the temperatures of the equipment. We started out small and we’ve stayed at this same plot because it works for us. There isn't any corporate jargon here, just some folks working hard to meet their daily production targets before the sun goes down. Most days are about watching the machine cycles and packing things up carefully. We just keep the wheels turning.
