Shiva World Arts

Shiva World Arts has its place at 237, West End Road over in Meerut Cantt. It’s a pretty decent area to work in. We have all sorts of things lying around the shop. Some are finished pieces and others are still being worked on. Art is a funny thing because it takes time and you can’t really rush it. We spend our days surrounded by different materials and tools. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is. The shop has a specific smell to it, a mix of wood and paint and whatever else we are using that week. People from around Meerut stop by sometimes just to see what’s new or to ask about a piece they saw earlier. We aren't trying to be a fancy gallery. It’s more like a workshop where things actually get created by hand. The sentences I write might be long or short depending on what's going on. We keep the doors open and just focus on the work. Being in the Cantt area means it’s a bit different from the main city traffic, which is nice. We’ve been at this West End Road address for a good while now. Every day brings something different to work on. It’s honest work and we like seeing something go from a raw idea to a finished object. Some projects take a week, others take much longer. That’s just the way it goes with art.
